I was honored to have this design recognized by DesignRush in their Best Chat App Designs.
Client’s Needs
This was a simple request to create a UI kit for a mobile messenger app. To show the components in context I was asked to create mock-ups of three main screens: primary screen (where users view conversation threads), a conversation screen, and the contacts screen.
The Process
Wireframes
I began with sketching low-fidelity wireframes to help determine which components were necessary to design.
Text Styles & Colors
With my framework in place I selected a suitable typeface and accompanying color palette.

With my typography and colors established, I applied this styling to the basic UI elements one would find while navigating the app.
